This is a full-time position located in Fort Worth TX.For certain positions including this one employees can work one day per week remotely. Our leaders also foster a culture where work life balance which requires flexibility for when life happens is important and respected.
Training for this position is on the job training.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Administration of FMLA & MLOA Leave including reviewing supporting documentation interpretation of BNSF policy and Federal Regulations and supporting Labor relations by providing appropriate guidance.
- Assist employees initiating disability.
- Provide support to the benefits area including but not limited to: condolence letters adoption benefits etc.
- Respond to emails and voice mail messages from employees retirees and others outside the company.
- Conduct research on and resolve a broad range of benefit issues.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of working experience in a customer servicetype role.
- Superior customer service skills in responding to inquiries from all levels of employees and customers.
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent personal organization planning and time management.
- Must be able to work independently and as a team player.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain positive relationships with team members and stakeholders.
- Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field.
- Previous work experience/knowledge in Benefits FMLA or a human resources-type role.
