JMA is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Contracts & Legal Operations Specialist to join our legal team. The Contracts & Legal Operations Specialist is responsible for managing the lifecycle and administration of all types of contracts and other legal documents. This role will be instrumental in optimizing our contract management and other legal processes leveraging our Ironclad CLM system and improving efficiency.
The Contracts & Legal Operations Specialist collaborates with legal business insurance cybersecurity human resources information technology procurement teams and other key stakeholders across the organization to streamline contract management improve workflows implement best practices and ensure that contracts align with organizational objectives and mitigate potential risks.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal operations best practices significant hands-on experience with Ironclad and a passion for process improvement. The individual must be well organized able to work independently manage matters effectively be an engaged and personable team member build coalitions and work collaboratively with other department members and appreciate the need for professionalism and confidentiality with respect to sensitive company matters.

You Will:

    • Ironclad CLM Administration:Serve as the go-to expert and administrator for our Ironclad CLM system including user management workflow configuration template and clause library creation and maintenance reporting and system updates. Serve as a liaison with customer success and support teams at Ironclad.
    • Contract Process Management:Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle from request intake and drafting to negotiation execution and post-execution management. This includes:
    • Facilitating the contract process within Ironclad.
    • Conducting initial reviews of contracts to identify areas requiring cross-functional input and provisions inconsistent with company standards.
    • Tracking contract progress and key milestones.
    • Ensuring timely completion of tasks and approvals.
    • Providing support to various stakeholders regarding contract status execution and contract close outs.
    • Clause Library Development & Maintenance: Develop and maintain a comprehensive library of contract clauses and pre-approved alternative clauses for commonly negotiated terms. Lead efforts to standardize templates language and terms that align with legal compliance and business needs.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Risk Management: Partner with Insurance IT Cybersecurity Supply Chain Finance and other key stakeholders to facilitate review of contracts and establish contract priorities and timelines to align with business objectives.
    • Process Improvement:Identify opportunities to streamline and automate contract processes leveraging Ironclads features and integrations.
    • Training & Support:Provide training and support to internal stakeholders on the use of Ironclad and contract management best practices.
    • Reporting & Analytics:Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track key contract metrics identify trends and provide insights to the legal team and business stakeholders and to provide insights into legal operations performance.
    • Other Document and Project Management:Assist the legal team in the completion processing filing and management of a variety of other corporate and legal documents projects and initiatives.
    • Other Support: Assist with other duties as assigned including occasional administrative support drafting internal memos preparing distributions and scheduling meetings.

You Have:

    • 3-5 years of experience in legal operations contract management or a related field.
    • Paralegal certificate or legal operations certification preferred.
    • Demonstrable hands-on expertise working with Ironclad as a CLM (or similar level contract management software).
    • Solid understanding of contract lifecycle management and legal operations principles.
    • Excellent analytical problem-solving and process improvement skills.
    • Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to align contract terms with business goals.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Exceptional organizational skills time-management skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple contracts and deadlines simultaneously in a dynamic business environment.

$75000 - $95000 a year
The US annual base salary range for this is $75000 - $95000. The range includes base salary that is expected to be paid for this role. Actual base salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to the scope and complexity of the role the successful candidates relevant experience skills and knowledge peer and market data and geographic location.
