Job Description

  • Develop systems to monitor the implementation and compliance of the Section 504 program in schools
  • Examine current processes to determine ways to make them more effective
  • Create digital platforms for recording information record keeping and district-wide trainings
  • Identify schools in need of compliance support
  • Work cooperatively with campus Section 504 chairpersons and principals to ensure compliance and completion of Annual and/or Re-Evaluation meetings for students protected under Section 504
  • Collaborate with Section 504 Manager to develop presentations for district use in professional development sessions and meetings with district leadership
  • Compile and maintain campus records for district processing and compliance purposes
  • Assist with mediating concerns between campuses and families
  • Serve as a liaison between campus Section 504 Chairpersons and Section 504 District Manager
  • Create and Provide training and professional development to groups of people and district staff
  • Oversee facilitate and perform professional development and activities associated with Section 504
  • Organize and communicate information and concepts for various presentations for a variety of audiences
