Summary/Objective This position is responsible for safety concerns repairs drills training and all things safety at all Prince locations. This position also has some HR Responsibility and will be trained as a back-up to HR so this person can step in and handle certain HR functions in the HR Managers absence.
Safety Functions
- Complete Safety Training and Safety Orientation for new employees
- Facilitate Monthly Safety Meetings with the Safety Committee
- Ensure OSHA mandated safety trainings testing (hearing tests etc.) and drills are completed for all employees as required
- Keep accurate precise safety records for both employees and OSHA
- Conduct safety audits and inspections as needed
- Complete accident investigations
- Review and update safety training as necessary to remain compliant with OSHA
- Interact with all government safety individuals (fire inspectors OSHA inspectors etc.)
- Inspect and maintain safety equipment; purchase safety supplies as needed
- Manage the Safety Incentive Program
- Update as needed and maintain all Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- Submit to OSHA all data required (electronically of hard copy)
- Attend safety seminars/trainings as needed to stay current on laws and regulations
- Manage Driver Training Program and ensure all drivers are compliant with DOT regulations
- Manage Workers Comp Claims along with HR and find ways to reduce number of work-related injuries/illnesses
Human Resources Functions
- HR filing of current and past employee documents; other filing as needed
- Post new positions to job board
- Check resumes and send to hiring managers
- Partner with HR to create new or update policies/procedures
- Serve as a back-up for the new hire screening process in HRs absence

Work Environment
Work indoors and to all elements depending on situation. Extended periods of sitting at desk and working on a computer.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time hourly position.
Travel
Travel to other facilities as necessary.
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma
- Data entry accuracy
- OSHA Training
- Safety Training
- Experience in safety-related fields preferred
- Willing to train the right person
