Job Description
Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Nurse Educator to join our team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
The Nurse Educator as part of the nursing leadership team provides leadership that reflects the vision mission and philosophy of the Nursing Department and PNHS. The Nurse Educator facilitates best nursing practice and enhances safe quality patient care by:
Planning developing and conducting professional educational opportunities for employees of PNHS in a quality conscious and cost-effective manner.
Establishing a work environment that promotes learning by individual growth/development professional practice and a collaborative team approach to assure excellence in delivery of quality age-specific care and high level of staff satisfaction.
Conducting unit-based consultation for clinical quality excellence.
Position supports the Perioperative nursing team education needs at Methodist.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors in nursing
- Minimum of 3 years experience in area of specialty required.
- Experience in leadership roles research utilization staff development and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Valid Minnesota Nursing License.
- BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.
- Evidence of skills in written/verbal communications conflict resolution interpersonal relationships and leadership.
- Demonstrates knowledge of cultural diversity and age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
- Demonstrates familiarity and compliance with matters of law regulations and internal policies affecting the employment relationship (including but not limited to FMLA ADA discrimination and harassment laws).
- Proven proficiency in the operation of the following: telephone photocopier Fax machine personal computer utilizing word processing spreadsheet graphics package power point AV slide projector overhead projector and common patient care equipment related to key clinical areas.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters preferred. If masters degree not completed upon hire required within 3 years of employment.
- Experience in teaching preferred.
- Membership in specialty professional organization preferred.
- Certification in area of Nursing Specialty (or pursuit within two years) preferred.
