IT Support Technician

Job Description

LS Technologies LLC is currently seeking an IT Support Technician to support hardware engineering and lab operations in Egg Harbor NJ. This hands-on role is ideal for a technician with soldering skills and a strong interest in IT systems support who will assist in maintaining the lab assembly area supporting hardware engineers and performing day-to-day IT and network support tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform soldering of hardware connections and maintain lab assembly and organization.
• Assist hardware engineers with setup troubleshooting and testing of systems and components.
• Provide technical support for LAN/WAN environments including evaluation installation and maintenance.
• Support the development and testing of user interfaces and database access tools using modern technologies such as Java CORBA and C.
• Assist in troubleshooting network issues implementing security procedures and coordinating user training.

Education

• Bachelors Degree in Information Technology Computer Science Engineering or a related field preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with soldering and basic electronics assembly required.
• Familiarity with supporting hardware engineers in a lab or technical environment.
• Basic understanding of LAN/WAN administration and network troubleshooting.
• Exposure to GUI-based database access and interface programming is a plus (e.g. Java C CORBA).
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative technical team.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced IT and engineering support environment

Work Requirements:

• Work location: Onsite
• Work Hours: EST - Normal Business Hours
• Travel: Less than 10%
• Physical requirements:
  • Extended Computer Use: Regular and prolonged periods of working at a computer terminal.
  • Dexterity: Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate computer equipment troubleshoot issues and perform tasks requiring precision.
  • Sitting/Standing: Both prolonged sitting and occasional standing may be required for troubleshooting and attending to system issues.
• Background check: Public Trust Investigation
