Job Description
The MLT contributes to the diagnosis treatment and care of patients by the accurate performance and reporting of laboratory testing procedures on blood and body fluids. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span. The ability to assess data reflective of the patients status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patients age-specific needs is required. Highly Preferred: experience in general and/or specialized Hematology and Coagulation testing including (but not limited to) Peripheral blood slide review/differentials Bone marrow differentials Body Fluid differentials and/or Specialty Coagulation testing (Factors Mixing studies HIT and/or Platelet Aggregation).
**This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Also Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program**
Qualifications
Associate degree required. Recent graduate from approved MLT school is minimum experience required.
Additional Skills and Qualifications:
Two to four years experience as medical laboratory technician of computer skills. Demonstrated organizational skills and problem solving capabilities.

- and for foreign trained lab personnel to provide a detailed equivalency evaluation to include US equivalent degree at the applicants expense.

- MUST have a DETAILED equivalency evaluation

- Evaluation MUST be completed from an organization listed as a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) OR the Association of International Credential Evaluators Inc. (AICE)
License or Certification:
MLT from ASCP required within 18 months from date of hire.
