Job Description

Job Description:

The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) is the regional planning and intergovernmental coordination agency that focuses on issues critical to the regions success including growth and development transportation water resources services for older adults and workforce solutions. ARC is dedicated to unifying the regions collective resources to prepare the metropolitan area for a prosperous future. This is done through professional planning initiatives the provision of objective information and the involvement of the community in collaborative partnerships.

The Client Services Liaison Principal is responsible for supervising an ADRC (Aging & Disability Resource Connection) team and is expected to be the subject matter expert on Older Americans Act (OAA) Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) to include but not limited to HCBS intake and screening functions; state policy and procedure; the HCBS Provider Network; and general program requirements and trends.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervises staff including conducting performance evaluations coordinating training and implementing hiring discipline and termination procedures;
  • Works with the Access to Services Unit Manager to identify program priorities trends outcomes and sustainable program models;
  • Works with other ADRC Team Supervisors to ensure performance and service consistency across the broader ADRC in terms of staff training knowledge process and technology;
  • Assigns work related to the function of HCBS intake as part of the broader ADRC to include referrals screenings client calls web intakes etc;
  • Monitors quality and completion of work assigned to the team;
  • Coordinates aspects of quality assurance activities quality of care reviews records call data and report reviews;
  • Collaborates with partners to strengthen relationships identify new program opportunities to address emerging issues and improve access to services;
  • Stays abreast of legislation rules regulations state policy and emerging/best practices;
  • Assists with the development and updates of internal policies procedures and protocols;
  • Prepares reports and documents;
  • Gathers and analyzes data;
  • Manages core functions of the ADRC team; develops new strategies and initiatives;
  • Develops updates and implements operating policies procedures and protocols;
  • Builds and maintains relationships with partners stakeholders and the community;
  • Performs other duties assigned to support agency goals and objectives;

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in social work human services counseling or psychology
  • Three years of related counseling client advocacy information/referral or related program administration experience.

OR

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:
  • At least one year of supervisory experience

Required Knowledge Skills Abilities and Competencies:


Knowledge of Georgias non-Medicaid Home and Community Based Services;
Knowledge of Medicaid Home and Community Based Services (SOURCE CCSP ICWP);
Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid eligibility;
Ability to communicate at all levels within the organization;
Ability to foster teamwork open communications with and among staff making sure to build a culture of trust collaboration innovation high performance and integrity;
Ability to evaluate the work of planning staff; evaluate internal processes and balance workload with staff resources; provide leadership and direction for assigned programs;
Highly developed interpersonal skills to interact effectively with internal colleagues external stakeholders staff and others;
Skilled in oral and written communication;
Proficient in general office equipment and Microsoft Office software applications.
