Job Description

Overview

Position: Exercise Physiologist/Injury Prevention Specialist

Location: Lake Buena Vista FL

Schedule: Full time Schedule TBD

Compensation:Commensurate with experience starting at $21.25/hour

This is a 40 hour per week position schedule TBD for an exercise physiologist licensed athletic trainer or individual of similar background. We are looking for a dynamic individual able to continue to support and grow revenues through on-site services and maximizing center based Work Strategies services (Onsite Early Symptom Intervention- ESI).

Essential functions will also include but not limited to:

  • Injury Trend Analysis
  • Work Risk and Task Analysis
  • Work-site Education programs
  • On-site Intervention
  • Support coach and train new employees
  • Conduct in-services to keep staff current in Work Strategies issues
  • Participate in CEU programs

Responsibilities

  • Full time OnSite coverage for industrial customer under the direction of Account/Program Manager
  • Early Symptom Intervention with providing first aid services
  • Design and implement injury prevention strategies for the industrial setting such as individual and group conditioning functional assessments and behavioral modification
  • Health and wellness consultation and presentations

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in exercise science/kinesiology/exercise physiology REQUIRED
  • Preferred one year experience industrial setting experience a plus
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Position requires a strong knowledge of musculoskeletal injury assessment and prevention interventions

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift patients using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently throughout the course of a work day/shift; must be capable of easily lifting fifty (50) pounds dead weight alone.
  • Ability to walk bend stand and reach constantly during a work day/shift.
  • Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to evaluate diagnose and monitor patient needs and to maintain accurate records recognize people and provide directions.
  • Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.
  • Ability to push wheeled equipment through the facility and in the community.
  • Possess fine motor skills for legible and accurate writing of reports charting scheduling daily correspondence and presentations either manually or through use of dictation equipment.
  • Possess fine motor skills for effective and efficient handling of diagnostic or therapeutic equipment.
