Position Summary
As a Billing Administrator you will play a key role in supporting our administration with the execution of all aspects of billing. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate creation of billing and associated reporting troubleshooting billing issues and assisting in other administrative functions as required.
This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented enjoys problem-solving and has a strong commitment to accuracy and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Accurate daily billing of customer shipments in alignment with standardized procedures.
Create additional invoices as required for any additional charges.
Ensure all special billing clients are invoiced within the parameters of their procedure.
Identify issues preventing orders from correctly rating and fix where possible.
Work with representatives from other departments to resolve issues preventing accurate billing.
Complete all reporting requirements related to the billing function in a timely manner.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of all aspects of the billing function and Admin team.
Help update billing Standard Operating Procedures as necessary.
Investigate and respond to customer questions promptly maintaining a customer service mindset.
Support the Administration Manager with other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of related administration experience.
- Experience in transportation or with billing is an asset.
- Basic accounting knowledge is an asset.
- Experience with TruckMate or other Transportation Management Software is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel Word and Outlook.
- A Post-Secondary Certificate Diploma or Degree in a related field is an asset.
- Strong time management skills with the proven ability to multitask.
- Strong work ethic and superior attention to detail and accuracy.
- A positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment.
- Understand and practice the importance of private and confidential information.
- Ability to develop plan and implement short- and long-term goals.
