This position is being filled through OUs PEAK Temporary Staffing Service.
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced temporary substitute instructor for CESL the Intensive English Program at the University of Oklahoma.
The successful candidate will join our team of instructors and staff and contribute to creating an engaging and supportive learning environment for international students.
The start and end dates are June 9th through June 26th.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver 12 hours of face-to-face ESL instruction weekly to beginner students
- Conduct necessary planning and grading.
- Create and implement effective lesson plans aligned with established curriculum
- Administer grade and provide feedback on student assessments
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance participation and performance
- Submit final grades
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet diverse student needs and proficiency levels
- Follow established course syllabi learning objectives and assessment criteria
- Utilize approved textbooks and supplementary materials effectively
- Communicate promptly with program administration regarding any classroom concerns
- Consult with the Instructor and Academic Coordinator on curriculum implementation
- Maintain professional standards in interactions with students and colleagues
