Role: Desktop Support Engineer

Location: 100% Onsite Carlsbad TX

Long Term Contract W2 & C2C

Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to provide on-site technical assistance to end-users in TX Location. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues installing applications managing IT assets and supporting users in a Windows/Mac environment. Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site technical support for desktops laptops printers and other peripherals.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for end-users.
  • Install configure and maintain Windows and MacOS operating systems.
  • Assist with network troubleshooting including LAN Wi-Fi and VPN connectivity.
  • Set up and configure new user accounts email and access permissions in Active Directory & Microsoft 365.
  • Provide support for Microsoft Office 365 applications Outlook Teams and other enterprise software.
  • Assist with IT asset management including inventory tracking and procurement.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for hardware repairs and replacements.
  • Ensure cybersecurity best practices by updating software patching vulnerabilities and monitoring for security threats.
  • Provide technical training and guidance to end-users as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 1-5 years of experience in desktop support IT support or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 MacOS and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Experience with Active Directory user management and basic networking (TCP/IP DNS DHCP VPN Wi-Fi).
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems like ServiceNow Jira or similar ITSM tools.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting printers mobile devices and VoIP systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • A Certification Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or equivalent is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in enterprise IT support or a corporate environment.
  • Knowledge of remote desktop tools (e.g. TeamViewer AnyDesk RDP).
  • Basic experience with scripting (PowerShell Bash) is a plus.
