Role: Desktop Support Engineer
Location: 100% Onsite Carlsbad TX

Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to provide on-site technical assistance to end-users in TX Location. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues installing applications managing IT assets and supporting users in a Windows/Mac environment.
Key Responsibilities: - Provide on-site technical support for desktops laptops printers and other peripherals.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for end-users.
- Install configure and maintain Windows and MacOS operating systems.
- Assist with network troubleshooting including LAN Wi-Fi and VPN connectivity.
- Set up and configure new user accounts email and access permissions in Active Directory & Microsoft 365.
- Provide support for Microsoft Office 365 applications Outlook Teams and other enterprise software.
- Assist with IT asset management including inventory tracking and procurement.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for hardware repairs and replacements.
- Ensure cybersecurity best practices by updating software patching vulnerabilities and monitoring for security threats.
- Provide technical training and guidance to end-users as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - 1-5 years of experience in desktop support IT support or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 MacOS and Microsoft Office 365.
- Experience with Active Directory user management and basic networking (TCP/IP DNS DHCP VPN Wi-Fi).
- Familiarity with ticketing systems like ServiceNow Jira or similar ITSM tools.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting printers mobile devices and VoIP systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A Certification Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or equivalent is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in enterprise IT support or a corporate environment.
- Knowledge of remote desktop tools (e.g. TeamViewer AnyDesk RDP).
- Basic experience with scripting (PowerShell Bash) is a plus.
