As a Program Director youll play a pivotal role in providing progressive and goal-oriented supports to individuals with developmental disabilities in the community. Youll have the opportunity to lead with compassion creativity and dedication ensuring that our programs meet the unique needs of each individual.
What Youll Do
- Oversee day-to-day operations staffing and service delivery for a high-needs adult day program
- Develop implement and evaluate individualized service plans (ISPs)
- Lead the implementation of Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs)
- Actively support individuals with complex behaviors and model intervention strategies for staff
- Respond to crises and ensure adherence to safety protocols and de-escalation techniques
- Coach and mentor DSPs - leading by example on the floor
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide regular feedback coaching and development
- Deliver training on behavior support trauma-informed care and intervention techniques
- Ensure compliance with Title 17 Title 22 CCL Regional Center expectations and internal policies
- Maintain accurate documentation and lead quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with behavior analysts psychologists and medical professionals to adjust interventions
- Serve as a liaison for families guardians and external partners
- Foster strong relationships with healthcare providers community agencies and support networks
Skills & Competencies:
- Deep knowledge of trauma-informed care behavioral intervention and person-centered planning
- Strong leadership communication and organizational skills
- Proven ability to coach develop and guide diverse teams
- Ability to remain calm compassionate and professional in high-stress situations
- Proficiency in electronic documentation systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications :
Required Qualifications:
- 3 years supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
- Experience with high-level behaviors in settings like crisis homes Level 4 or EBHS facilities strongly preferred
- 2 years of experience in a licensed adult day program or adult day health care setting (preferred but not required).
- At least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role managing staff and program operations
- Willing and able to work directly alongside staff to support individuals served
- Skilled at building a strong team culture grounded in mutual respect consistency and support
- Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to lift and transfer up to 50 pounds.
- Physicians clearance and TB test clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in human services field (Psychology Counseling Social Work Allied Health Educational Psychology Sociology Human Services etc.)
- Experience working with Regional Centers Community Care Licensing and knowledge of Title 22 and Title 17 regulations.
Hours:
- Full-time exempt position (40 hours per week).
- Schedule must have flexibility to accommodate program individual and staff needs
