Custodian Patty Turner Center
Part-Time $15.00$18.00/hour Deerfield Park District

The Patty Turner Center a joint venture between the Deerfield Park District and the Village of Deerfield offers a wide variety of programs and services for active older adults in a warm welcoming environment.
We are seeking a Custodian to join our team. This part-time role is ideal for a professional personable team player with excellent customer service computer and phone skills who enjoys working with older adults and wants to make a positive impact.
Essential Functions:
- Reports to Facility Manager
- Clean facility (vacuum mop dust etc.) including bathrooms manage trash andsecuring of facility.
- Perform room setups/takedowns including for large events and monitor custodial supplies.
- Report equipment issues and make minor repairs.
- Assist with rentals and provide backup support at the front desk as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years or older
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 12 years of custodial experience.
- Professional demeanor with excellent customer service computer and phone skills.
- Enjoyment in working with active older adults and team members with a desire to make a positive impact.
- Ideally flexible and open to being on call for additional hours
- Must be reliable and able to work independently.
Physical Demands:
The employee is frequently required to stand and walk.
The employee must regularly lift up to 20 lbs. and occasionally lift as much as 30 lbs.
Schedule & Pay:
Schedule: 2 weekday evenings (5:00 pm9:00 pm) and 1 weekend shift (9:00 am2:00 pm)
Pay: $15.00$18.00/hour
