This video-focused role requires strong creative and conceptual thinking as well as precise sophisticated execution of everything from ideation to scripting to post-production. Collaboration is the name of the game and this individual will work closely with many cross-departmental stakeholders in Marketing SEO and Content Strategy. To us a successful Lead Organic Content Copywriter is someone who can both deliver great work while leading the Organic Copy team. This role develops and oversees all scripting and copy-related needs as we ramp up our organic YouTube presence and create brand content for the Hims & Hers app and blog. This role is a hybrid position based in NYC. Concept script and see through completion of video projects for placement on Hims & Hers YouTube channel app and blog. Ideate and script videos attend shoots (in-person) working closely with our art directors and act as a resource to editors in post-production and delivery Work closely and flexibly with design brand production digital and product development teams to deliver on strategic initiatives Manage a team of dedicated Organic Content Copywritersboth full time and contractors Use your expertise as an insight-driven storyteller to elevate every asset you touch Be ruthless when it comes to editing grammar and proofreading techniques Follow and champion brand and content guidelines 10 years experience in copywriting with a preference for experience Extensive knowledge of the video production process from a copywriting perspective (pre-production production post-production and delivery) Experience leading teams and supporting individuals develop in their professional careers A strong ability to think narratively concepting and building creative with a sharp eye and ear Ability to deliver on strategic initiatives while championing brand voice tone and direction Experience collaborating with designers editors art directors animators producers and other creative partners Ability to drive experimentation focused on conversion and engagement Experience using insights and strategic thinking to influence stakeholders Ability to communicate the benefits of marketing strategies to business audiences of all levels Experience driving multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Eagerness to be hands-on and proactive In-depth understanding of the healthcare wellness or CPG industry a plus Competitive salary & equity compensation for full-time roles Unlimited PTO company holidays and quarterly mental health days Comprehensive health benefits including medical dental & vision and parental leave Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP) 401k benefits with employer matching contribution Offsite team retreats We are committed to building a workforce that reflects diverse perspectives and prioritizes ethics wellness and a strong sense of belonging.
