The University of Chicagos Department of Medicine Section of Hematology/Oncology is searching for a faculty scientist at any rank on the School of Medicine track who will lead research contributing to the mission of The David and Etta Jonas Center for Cellular Therapy. In collaboration with other investigators in the Jonas Center the appointee will apply their scientific background in basic and translational research to the development of therapeutic T cell receptors (TCR) against neoantigens especially non-synonymous Single Nucleotide Variants expressed in cancers particularly those of the pancreas and the appointee should be conversant with methods of T cell cloning transduction and transfection as well as related addition the appointee will serve as the Scientific Director of the Jonas Center Tumor Biobank. The goal of this research is to develop personalized cancer-specific therapy involving the selection and characterization of therapeutic TCRs for cancer-specific adoptive transfer. Academic rank and compensation are dependent upon qualifications. Experience utilizing human tissue samples is required.
We especially welcome applicants with experience in the identification analysis and selection of TCRs against neoantigens. Experience with murine tumor models is encouraged.
