Job Description:

The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences offers college-level courses in the following formats: face-to-face live online via Zoom and online via Canvas (PSCs learning management system). Adjunct instructors instruct students develop curricula assess student learning and maintain College and department standards and deadlines. This position reports to Mr. Scott Schackmann Department Head Humanities and Social Sciences.

Minimum Qualifications: To teach college-level courses graduation from a regionally accredited institution with a masters degree in field or a masters degree with 18 graduate credit hours in the field is required. Successful results of a criminal background check are also required. Instructors must be able to use and demonstrate the use of technology required for the assigned course(s).

Salary Range: Adjunct Faculty shall be paid on an hourly basis according to degree level as follows:

Masters Degree: $34.00

Doctorate: $37.00

NOTE: This is an open applicant pool. Positions are filled by the department on an as-needed basis.

Pursuant to College policy it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of 435.04(2) Florida Statutes related to background investigations. Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment.
