Reporting to the Team Manager and under a co-leadership structure with Communication Assistance for Youth and Adults (for CAYA SLP Assistant positions only) and working under the direction of the Speech Language Pathologist implements rehabilitative treatment plans and client activities by administering routine procedures documenting client s progress preparing appropriate client materials/activities maintaining augmentative communication and other related equipment and maintaining an inventory of supplies.
Travel will be a requirement of this position. Transportation arrangements must meet the operational requirements of the Vancouver Island Health Authority in accordance with the service assignment and may require the use of a personal vehicle.
Completion of a formal Speech-Pathology Assistant Program at a recognized post-secondary institution plus one years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.
Demonstrated proficiency with basic AAC technology and AAC software specifically Boardmaker
Valid BC drivers license and operational motor vehicle
