Role: Regulatory Support Advisor
Salary: 27185 per annum
Pension: ACivil Service Pensionwith an employer contribution of 28.97%.
Location: Glasgow/Darlington/Llandudno

Student Loans Company is a non-profit making Government-owned organisation to provide loans and grants to students in universities and colleges in the UK. The Regulatory Support Adviser is responsible for producing high quality accurate and regulatory compliant communications when responding to a range of internal and external bodies. The successful candidate is expected to possess a confidence to both make decisions and draft correspondence to customers of a standard which will stand up to scrutiny.
SLC offer a blended working model which will typically be 2 days in the office and 3 days from home.
What you bring:
- Excellent written communication skills with an aptitude for investigating cases and responding professionally in writing.
- Capable of deconstructing complex information and presenting it in a clear concise manner both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent numeracy skills and able to undertake complex calculations and communicate findings clearly and effectively.
- Ability to manage a caseload prioritize tasks and meet specific deadlines.
- Comfortable challenging others in a constructive and respectful manner when necessary.
- Ability to make defensible decisions based on available information.
- A sound understanding of the SLC products and services and an awareness The Education (Student Support) Regulations.
- An ability to develop and sustain relationships with internal stakeholders.
