Not afraid of a challenge We need a committed knowledgeable Health & Wellbeing Officer to assist our social workers with our core business empowering and supporting vulnerable residents of Croydon who need signposting practical community support or even some direct help or advice from the Council.

At this difficult time the Council Leadership has made clear their support for our statutory functions including Adult Social Care. We know where our priorities are.

We have an established and stable base of Team Managers to work with and support you our vacancy rates our low - and we rarely use agency staff preferring to concentrate our efforts on looking after our permanent staff. This includes having a dedicated Training officer supporting adult social care and a Principal Social Worker to support qualified & non-qualified Social Care staffs welfare and practice. We have also recently upgraded our electronic recording system.

Health & Wellbeing Officer

If you are setting off on your Social Care Career or fancy a change of position and want to develop your skills in Adult Social Care this might be the role you require. This role is primarily case work focussed Client facing & interacting but includes community liaison through GP Huddles and ICN Partnership working with Health & the Voluntary sector. We are progressing our community engagement strategy with increasing levels of community involvement & liaison. It is a role for many to enable them to gain knowledge & experience in working with vulnerable adults their families and representatives and developing links and networks within a Locality setting with the various support options available.

A car driver with their own vehicle and the ability to use this for work is preferable.
