Team Summary

Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) Australia New Zealand and South Pacific (AUNZSP) is Visas advisory division working with Visas clients (including card issuers acquirers and merchants) on a broad range of key business initiatives including strategy proposition development loyalty operational optimisation customer engagement and overall business profitability.  

VCA is made up of three services lines - Advisory Data Science and Managed Services the latter being the execution arm of VCA.  Our Managed Services teams (also known as squads) are embedded on client sites leading long-term engagements and delivering value primarily through implementation and execution services.  We deliver objectives from a shared value agenda but are also closely connected to the broader VCA team sharing knowledge and bringing the best of Visa to the client.  

We are looking for a dedicated UX UI Engineer to join the clients team for a fixed-term contract which will conclude on June 30 2027. This role will be embedded with a key strategic clients Retail Banking team and will be part of a Tech Squad to execute on an exciting credit card product. You will get an opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and play a pivotal role in driving advancements in the banks leading engineering practices. You will build and coach others to develop and automate the testing of robust adaptable code that is always production-ready. Embedded within the clients business youll enjoy working in a collaborative Tech Squad delivering against a clear roadmap that will deliver results for the client.

Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with the broader design research and delivery team to produce designs that champion the best digital experience for our customers while achieving business goals

  • Own major projects from scoping and costing through to design execution under the leadership of your Experience Design lead

  • Produce flows wireframes and interactive prototypes along with detailed supporting documentation

  • Regularly review data and insights to create designs that put the customer first while meeting business objectives

  • Effectively manage stakeholder expectations through regular and relevant interaction. Your stakeholder community includes Product Owners Dev/Engineering Sales Marketing Legal and Compliance representatives

  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct which sets the standards of behavior actions and decisions we expect from our people

  • Make trade-offs in an environment of often-conflicting objectives e.g. deliver great experience to deadlines with fixed resources. Ruthless prioritization and an ability to focus on key issues

  • Advocate the value of UX in the broader organization

  • Experts at using UI UX tools like Figma

  • Experience with user experience and design

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of 3-days in the office and as confirmed by your Hiring Manager.


Qualifications :

What will also help:

  • Bachelors Degree  

  • 5 years related work experience in relevant role in the financial services industry 

  • Proven experience designing conceptually for complex transactional consumer interfaces across multiple devices

  • Ability to solve complex design problems while visualizing solutions in appropriate ways

  • Proven experience managing UX project delivery in an agile framework within agreed time frames

  • Experience managing coaching and mentoring other designers to achieve desired outcomes while recognizing the difference between good and great work

  • Influential communication and stakeholder management skills with demonstrated success presenting design in a clear confident and persuasive manner

  • Experience using customer research behavioral or digital analytics to drive design and optimization

  • Skills in information architecture task flow and/or decision tree mapping

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating UX process low and high-fidelity design skills and outcomes delivered
