Job Description
Job Title: Machine Operator
Location: Villa Rica GA
Position Type: Temp to Hire
Pay: $17.00/hour
Shift: 2nd Shift
Job Description: Preferred Personnel Solutions is seeking to hire Machine Operators for a food-grade distribution warehouse located in Villa Rica!
Qualifications for Machine Operators:
After meeting all of PPS standard qualifications Candidate must meet below qualifications:
Must have at least 2 years of experience with machine operating.
Able to work on machines gears belts etc.
Able to run a line and fix minimum issues.
Food grade experience is preferred but not required.
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be open to 12 hour shifts weekends and occasional extra hours.
Willing to submit to a drug screening and background check.
Assignment Duties for Machine Operators:
Prepare machine lines and teammates.
Meet with operator from previous shift to learn about any problems challenges or concerns they may have encountered in order to ensure a smooth hand-off and start-up.
Review daily schedule and properly prepare for the shift.
Check that all safety mechanisms are working properly and that all team members understand and adhere to safety rules.
Observe machine operators run and lead their lines safely and effectively.
Inspect machine and list to ensure readiness for safe start-up.
Check setting and match to product run using graphical interface.
Ensure machines run at expected standing.
Troubleshoot machine operations.
Work with maintenance team on any mechanical problems.
Conduct preventative maintenance on machines and line.
Shift Details: Monday-Friday 3:15PM-3:30AM *Occasional Saturdays are required*
Pay Rate: $17.00/hour
