Job Description

Job Description:PEO STRI Live Training Systems is seeking a highly skilled Test and Evaluation Engineer to support its efforts in delivering advanced simulation testing and training solutions for military operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in network design monitoring and optimization along with test and evaluation experience in environments like ATEC (Army Test and Evaluation Command) and beyond. An Agile certification is also highly desirable for this role.


Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-Time


Worksite details: PEO STRI office location onsite; 40 hours per week.


Duties will include:

  • Provide technical oversight on the Synthetic Training Environment Live Training System (STE LTS)
  • Develop test plans procedures and reports for STE LTS.
  • Lead T&E working group and other IPTs in order to coordinate with stakeholders and developer efforts to effectively ensure a thorough and complete T&E process.
  • Lead test and evaluation efforts across mission-critical systems ensuring systems meet required performance standards.
  • Implement and manage testing protocols focused on redundancy scalability and performance optimization.
  • Monitor diagnose and resolve network issues using state-of-the-art network monitoring tools and techniques.
  • Ensure robust network security scalability and architecture are integrated into test and evaluation practices.
  • Optimize network protocols architectures and configurations to ensure system efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems engineers software developers and operations teams to develop comprehensive test strategies and evaluation plans.
  • Develop detailed reports and recommendations based on test results for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD security protocols and standards.

Position Requirements:

  • Experience: 10 years of relevant test and evaluation experience or 5 years of experience with a Bachelors degree in engineering computer science or a related field.
  • Working understanding of hardware and software development integration test and assessment life cycles.
  • Work with standard CM and test tools such as but not limited to Jira and Confluence
  • Security Clearance: Active SECRET clearance (mandatory).
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities particularly in high-stakes mission-critical systems.
  • Ability to work in a classified environment.
  • Strong analytical and technical writing skills for producing evaluation reports.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team including with military personnel.
