CARITAS creates a safe space to heal and time to rebuild. Our five programs provide solutions for shelter recovery services workforce development and the furniture bank.


The Healing Place (THP) as one of the five programs of this thriving non-profit is a long-term peer-driven residential recovery program serving the Greater Richmond community. Here at THP men and women suffering from Substance Use Disorder carve pathways to sobriety employment and spiritual wellness. This position will assist THP Administration and use the Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) survey as an evaluation tool for the Virginia State Opioid Response (SOR) grant to track grant progress and outcomes.


Position Summary

The Evaluation Assistant serves as part of a cohesive team to provide support to The Healing Place a program of CARITAS. You will be tasked with clerical and computer tasks that requires the ability to work with time sensitive deadlines and maintain the highest standard of integrity and confidentiality. The Ability to work independently and as a team player is paramount with added emphasis on logical reasoning and organizational skills that can transfer between hard copy and computer based tasks. This is a part-time position of roughly 20 hours per week.


  • Work closely with the Administrative Coordinator to maintain an evaluation plan and describe how each objective is measured; assist in data collection to assess progress toward desired outcome.
  • Complete Intake GPRA surveys for all eligible clients at both Mens and Womens campuses of The Healing Place within 14 days of entry.
  • Complete Follow-Up GPRA surveys for all eligible clients of The Healing Place within the allotted 6 month follow-up window.
  • Complete Discharge GPRA surveys for all eligible clients of The Healing Place within 14 days of exit of the program.
  • Support participant retention and verify participant contact information in effort to increase intake GPRA and follow-up GPRA interviews.
  • Proficient with laptop and data entry skills; maintain a weekly tracker that details evaluation progress including intake follow-up and discharge efforts.
  • Conduct in-person interviews with confidentiality as participants may discuss sensitive subjects.

Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate professionally on the telephone and in person.
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and successfully meet deadlines.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and Google Suite (Word Outlook PowerPoint)
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have reliable transportation to both our Stockton and Dinwiddie location.

Hours: 20 hours/week will be scheduled between the normal work hours of 8:00 am-4:30pm M-F schedules are flexible

Hourly Rate: $18.00 an hour
