JOB DESCRIPTION Employment Contract and Hours: Up to 38.5 weeks per academic year. Mondays through Thursday: 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Scheduled hours may be adjusted depending on the departmental needs. The Basic Skills department ( BSD ) at North Orange Continuing Education ( NOCE ) is seeking a Professional Expert Online Software Tutoring Support to support Faculty of the Basic Skills department with implementation of a new online tutoring platform and to help Faculty master navigation of new online tutoring platform. The position provides essential technical support and guidance for the departments online tutoring platform. Responsibilities: Train tutors and faculty on effective platform use. Serve as a liaison between platform representatives and NOCE IT staff to ensure smooth communication and issue resolution. Maintain and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise to ensure minimal disruption to instructional and tutoring services Input or import student enrollment and ensure accurate data entry Audit for gaps or duplicates Track daily or period-based attendance Record benchmarks or progress checks as needed Generate reports tailored for FTEs or internal review Present data to BSD faculty and management team regularly Work effectively with the NOCE research team to report data for FTEs collection.
Desirable Qualifications
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS Associates degree in IT education or related field. Experience in tutoring. Competency with data collection. Experience with adult learners in community college setting.
Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Coursework in IT education or a related field and At least one year of experience providing technical support in an educational or customer service setting. Understanding of educational date reporting. Experience training others on software use strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform basic account maintenance. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Experience and ability to multi-task and meet targeted deadlines on time. Interact and work with many groups/ individuals throughout the organization; is organized creative resourceful and efficient; takes initiative and is able to work unsupervised as well as with groups. PC and Internet proficient. Familiarity with Canvas Zoom and Microsoft Office especially Outlook Teams Word Excel and PowerPoint.
Work Schedule
Maximum of up to 26 hours per week Monday - Friday
