The pay for this position starts at $19.53/hour with additional compensation added for higher education and/or years of relevant experience up to $22.76/hour.

The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 9:00am-3:00pm - perfect for caregivers!

This position is located in Rutland MA.

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health - Massachusetts serves students with various complex psychological emotional and behavioral disorders including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder. Based in Rutland MA The Devereux Day school serves individuals age 6 through 21 who present with issues such as disruptive behaviors mood/anxiety disorders complex trauma or abuse-reactive behaviors. You could be a part of an exceptional team of staff who support the needs of students in grades K-12 and beyond as they work towards diplomas and learn vocational transitional and social-emotional skills. Our students have typically experienced multiple academic failures most often resulting from a wide variety of social emotional and behavioral challenges. The help you provide will make a difference in their lives!

As a Direct Support/Care Professional you will:

• Be passionate about working with and helping youth.
• Be responsible for the safety and security of all youth as assigned by providing direct supervision.
• Provide and ensure therapeutic interventions in a compassionate and safe environment.
• Engage with youth in a meaningful and positive manner teaching and prompting appropriate behaviors and providing positive reinforcement for the same.
• Teach and assist with Activities of Daily (ADL) Living Skills.
• Possess adequate organizational and communication skills needed to complete required documentation such as progress notes and incident reports.

Job Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid drivers license required.
• High School diploma or GED required. Bachelors degree in related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with individuals under 21 with psychological emotional and behavioral disorders and/or autism spectrum disorders preferred.
• Must be able to attend a 2-week paid orientation Monday to Friday 8AM to 4PM in Rutland MA.
