Year 1 Teacher Barking & Dagenham September Start

Year 1 Teacher Role Responsibilities:
Lead engaging and effective lessons as a Year 1 Teacher following the national curriculum
Focus on pupil progress attainment and well-being in a nurturing classroom setting
Support and challenge a diverse cohort including those with SEND
Work as part of a large collaborative teaching team
Build strong communication channels with parents and carers
Take a proactive approach to behaviour and classroom management
Demonstrate flexibility creativity and a passion for early years learning
Show commitment to ongoing school improvement and curriculum development
Be ready to take on responsibilities that support progression toward middle leadership
Year 1 Teacher Person Specification:
1:1 Degree from a top 20 UK university
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Strong and confident classroom presence
Creative adaptive and proactive teaching style
Passionate about supporting SEND pupils and inclusive learning
A team player who is supportive and open to collaboration
Clear communication skills and ability to engage with families
Ambition to progress within a well-structured school setting in Barking & Dagenham
