Job Description
Ravenswood School for Girls is a Uniting Church Prep to Year 12 day and boarding school for girls located on Sydneys North Shore. Ravenswood offers both the HSC and the IB Diploma Programme as well as the PYP in the Junior School. We are seeking a passionate dance teacher to join our school Co-Curricular Dance Program on a casual basis. Ravenswood is proud of its growing Co-Curricular Dance Program that offers classes for students in Prep to Year 12 in a variety of dance styles.
The successful candidate will:
- Be highly organised with strong communication skills
- Have the appropriate qualifications with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience teaching Senior School students (Years 9-12) in Hip Hop
- Have a keen eye for polishing and refining performance groups in the Hip Hop style appropriate to a school context
- Be willing to attend eisteddfods and performance events throughout the year
- Have a passion for positively building the schools dance program
- Be willing to take one Junior school (Kindy) Jazz class in addition to the focus of Senior School classes
- Hold up to date CPR and First Aid training
- Be willing to or has completed safe dance training course recently.
These classes are held on Tuesday afternoons and there is the potential for this role to expand over time.
