Job Description
At Hormel Foods base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $16.75-$23.50 per year/hour and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge skill set level of experience and geographic market location. SHIPPING CLERK-2nd SHIFT-AUSTIN PLANT
This position reports to Ivan Mendoza Ramirez 2nd Shift Shipping Superintendent.
The work schedule for this position is Sunday to Thursday 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Start time is 2:00pm every two weeks. Overtime is required. Some weekend work is required. Flex time is not available.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The person in this position:
- Coordinates the loading of inbound and outbound trucks.
- Reconciles inbound and outbound shipments contents between operator entry and actual orders.
- Assists supervisors in monitoring inventory code dates paperwork completion physical inventory sampling and other duties as assigned.
- Maintains accurate Warehouse Cold Side AS/RS Freezer and Loin Cooler inventory records.
- Assist transportation team as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
- High school education or the equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated use of strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately add large columns of numbers quickly and accurately.
- Ability to learn plant-based computer applications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work on your feet and tolerate working in a 40 environment.
- Experience with personal computers Windows and Excel.
Preferred
- Knowledge of company inventory control system.
