ROLE SUMMARY:
Our Supply group is responsible for brewing packaging and shipping the famous Budweiser beer. They also oversee aluminum can manufacturing barley fields hop farms and a rice mill. Life in supply is non-stop action with high-speed lines tight production schedules and unbelievably high quality standards. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
As the Brewery Logistics Planner at our Baldwinsville Brewery you can expect:
- Ownership and management of a complex and dynamic brewery production packaging schedule for 8 production lines including 40 brands and 400 SKUs.
- Placing material orders for Primary packaging material (cans and bottles) and Secondary packaging material (Cartons Trays Labels Crowns etc.) based on the set production schedule.
- Managing material inventory counts and variance explanations
Additional responsibilities may include:
- Work across functional groups at the brewery and centralized planning team to forecast a production schedule that will satisfy customer demand and optimize brewery operations.
- New product or promotional material set up including SKU BOM management.
- Work directly with Primary and Secondary material vendors to ensure the timely delivery and shipment accuracy of the needed production material requirements.
- Process weekly and end of month inventories into SAP produce financial reports and analyze reports for errors and financial variances.
- Process receipts for materials and other commodities received at the brewery.
- Actively participate in product and material traceability exercises.
- Actively participate in problem solving efforts using VPO tools (Six Sigma tools).
- Actively participate in department meetings as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.S. degree in Supply Chain Management Engineering Logistics or Business Administration.
- 3 years business work experience.
- Broad understanding of manufacturing operations logistics warehousing planning raw materials and packaging materials processing; manufacturing environment experience a plus.
- Strong interpersonal business acumen financial and technical problem solving skills with ability to work cross-functionally and manage key stakeholders.
- Highly focused on results and providing a structured systematic approach to delivering solutions.
- Motivated leader with proven organizational leadership and management skills.
- Excellent written verbal and presentation skills with experience in translating highly complex concepts to executive level audiences.
- Computer proficiency required including advanced Excel PowerPoint. Capable of learning internal systems and software package (SAP MRP Scheduling systems).
- Willingness to work off hours or occasional paid weekends
