POSITION: Liability Program Manager
FULLTIME
LOCATION: Remote/CA
SCHEDULE:Monday-Friday
PAY RANGE: $100-115K/yr.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Claims Management & Strategy
Investigate evaluate negotiate and resolve complex liability claims
Present files in roundtable discussions and formal claim reviews
Monitor reserves for accuracy and timeliness
Oversee claims to ensure quality aligns with performance targets
Legal & Litigation Oversight
Attend mediations depositions and trials as needed
Direct defense counsel and support litigation strategies
Interpret legal documents and manage litigation plans
Vendor & TPA Oversight
Oversee third-party adjusters and ensure proper claim handling
Identify and manage vendor performance related to both expense and indemnity outcomes
Stakeholder Communication
Report claim updates to boards claims counsel and excess carriers
Collaborate across departments and with external clients
Travel as required
Special Projects
Take on additional duties and assignments as business needs evolve
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Reside in CA
Minimum 10 years of P&C industry experience
At least 10 years managing complex and litigated liability claims
Bachelors degree required; JD preferred
Insurance designations (e.g. CPCU AIC) a plus
Adjuster licenses where required
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Strong written and verbal communication
Ability to present and explain complex issues effectively
Experience managing TPAs defense counsel and legal process
KEY SKILLS
Strong judgment in claim resolution strategy
Skilled in analyzing risk and anticipating outcomes
Excellent relationship building and collaboration skills
Proactive communicator and decision-maker
Demonstrates continuous learning and technical growth
Understands full claims lifecycle and workflow
