Looking for your next high-impact data role where your work directly fuels decarbonisation and real-world outcomes
Were working with a high-growth venture-backed scale-up thats revolutionising how energy data is used. Theyve built a best-in-class SaaS platform for electricity utilities and now theyre hiring a Senior Customer Data Engineer to join their technical delivery team.
What youll do:
Own and optimise large-scale ETL pipelines across diverse customer environments
Work directly with customer engineering teams to understand data sources and ingest geospatial data
Build models using dbt Spark and Python
Partner with internal data science and product teams to unlock real business outcomes
Take charge of solving data bugs system integration challenges and performance optimisation
Tech Stack:
Databricks (Spark) AWS dbt SQL Python
Were looking for someone with:
Strong SQL and Python skills with a focus on ETL and data pipeline development
Experience with big data (Spark or Databricks)
Core knowledge of geospatial dataespecially interpreting and mapping it
Comfortable talking to external customers or open to building those skills
Problem-solving mindset and thrives in fast-paced less-structured environments
This role is highly suited to someone from a consulting background or experience in startups/scale-ups. Electrical engineering knowledge is a bonus but not required.
Youll work 90% on technical data engineering delivery and 10% customer interaction (flexible depending on the project). If youre commercially curious technically sharp and want to make a differencethis is worth a chat.
