Overview:
The candidate will focus on customer growth to meet the company strategic business plans. The candidate will develop all prospective and new customer relationships to maintain business growth and profitability. The candidate will acquire and maintain detailed knowledge of the US military market (all branches) to identify and pursue prospective opportunities in the field. The candidate must be prepared for up to 30% travel time.
Job Description & Core Responsibilities:
*Develop his/her annual sales plan for input into the annual strategic business plan.
*Prepare penetration plans for his/her territory and/or assigned markets.
*Identify document and manage all new leads from inception to order.
*Review and analyze sales performances against forecast goals to ensure company key results are being met on a quarterly basis.
*Visit existing and prospective customer accounts promoting the company through technical seminars and periodic meetings.
*Prepare technical and commercial proposals addressing customers specifications and SOW
*Address diligently customers needs by proposing relevant solutions leading to technical leadership
*Work directly with the other Sales team members Engineering and Program Managers to develop program awareness and identify strategic paths to further promote company
*Report daily to the sales team ongoing actions and status of active leads.
*Suggest technical solutions addressing customer requirements and prepare associated cost data to establish relevant and competitive pricing.
*Assess and document that all new business opportunities meet the financial requirements established by top management.
*For allocated projects or accounts become the focal point for ensuring customer complaints are resolved in a timely and effective manner.
*Maintain an in-depth technical knowledge of the rugged display / panel / computer technologies with target of expertise in the field.
*Suggest and take part in assigned exhibits trade shows and other sales initiatives developed by company
*Propose and supervise the creation of marketing material to better promote the products.
*Develop dynamic business presentations and proposals for customers and internal communications.
*Delivers presentations to company executives and management teams to highlight business or marketing opportunities or to present the results of new strategies
Basic Qualifications and skills:
*Bachelors degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
*Five plus years design experience in electronics or electro-mechanical products ideally in a small business environment and in the field of designing electronic products for the military.
*Five plus years of sales experience in the field with daily customer interaction
*Candidate shall have a very good level of autonomy and self-motivation.
