With continued top-line growth and global expansion we are looking to fill our newly created Tax Manager role.

Are you looking to join a dynamic and growing tax team that manages the cutting-edge digital economy The Indirect Tax and Technology Manager role is an exciting and challenging role in a fast-paced tax department. We are looking for an individual with a passion for tax technology data and compliance. You will drive indirect tax process optimisation indirect tax tech selection & strategy and be a key partner to various internal and external stakeholders. This new role will report into the Senior Manager of Tax Compliance and Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the optimization of indirect tax data management analytics and reporting tools.
  • Lead the selection implementation and maintenance of indirect tax technology solutions for indirect tax compliance reporting and automation initiatives.
  • Act as a bridge between indirect tax engineering finance and external consultants; ensuring effective technology and data adoption.
  • Be a key partner representing Indirect Tax for all new GTM motions and other strategic business initiatives. Support these business units in assessing the indirect tax implications of these new initiatives and determine necessary system changes.
  • Review and document key indirect tax processes identify data needs and tech stack to improve efficiencies
  • Research and analyse global indirect tax regulations and ensure current and future indirect tax technology solutions will continue to scale.
  • Ensure proper configuration and maintenance of our indirect tax determination engine.
  • Ensure proper configuration and maintenance of e-invoicing and e-reporting systems and data.
  • Streamline and automate indirect tax return preparation reconciliation and submission processes.
  • Partner with stakeholders to optimize indirect tax workflows minimizing indirect tax team manual effort and mitigating compliance risks
  • Provide training and guidance to internal teams on indirect tax technology tools and automation best practices.
  • Stay updated on emerging indirect tax technology trends and innovations.
  • Assist with tax compliance audits and notices.
  • Support with special tax projects as they arise.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Information Systems or a related field.
  • 6 years of experience in indirect tax technology indirect tax operations or a related role.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA CTA ACA or ACCA depending on location (required)
  • Strong knowledge of global indirect tax regulations (VAT GST sales tax) and e-invoicing and digital tax reporting requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with tax engines (e.g. Vertex Avalara ONESOURCE) and ERP systems (SAP Oracle NetSuite).
  • Experience with data analytics automation tools and process improvement methodologies (Looker Snowflake Alteryx).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with AI-driven tax solutions and robotic process automation (RPA)
  • Proficiency in SQL Power BI or other data visualization tools.

Pay & Benefits

The cash compensation below includes base salary on-target commission for employees in eligible roles and annual bonus targets under HubSpots bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpots equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are tailored to your skills experience qualifications and other job-related reasons.
