You will play a key role in analyzing business processes identifying areas for improvement and supporting system upgrades and enhancements. Salary Range: $64116 to $77506 per annum

What youll do

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager of Enterprise Applications the Business Systems Analyst is responsible to respond to the needs of the organization and help deliver technology that supports organizational business goals. The role provides functional support to management on systems design and administration.

  • Undertake the review of business processes in conjunction with current system users including workflow analysis and functional process charts to identify process improvements.
  • Document the current and desired state of processes noting the size of the change and the stakeholders affected.
  • Conduct cost benefit analysis.
  • Participate in the upgrade of current systems identifying impacts on users process change associated with upgrades.
  • Assist with system upgrade and patch testing and documentation.
  • Perform data audits to ensure data integrity is maintained.
  • Develop plans and strategies for implementation of new modules including designing and creating the configuration of those modules.
  • Develop training material on any system changes and deliver training to users.

What youll need

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Degree in Computer Science or Business OR a Diploma from a two-year IT / Business program related work experience.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with five (5) years or more of experience in business systems analysis or a related role involving enterprise systems process improvement or systems implementation.

Professional Skills:

  • Highly flexible with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to navigate and build relationships effectively throughout the organization.
  • Working Knowledge/High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills analytical ability and innovative thinking.
  • Self-motivated service and results oriented.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and within a team.
  • A desire for continuous learning and growth.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

Preference may be given to candidates who have experience working in a post-secondary environment.

Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these qualifications on their resumes.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response the minimum qualifications may be raised.
