There is one Student Grounds/Maintenance Support Benjamin Road position available starting on June 16 2025 and ending on August 28 2025. Working 37.5 hours per week.


Your Role:

Helps to maintain grounds and facility at 285 Benjamin Road while ensuring the safety and well-being of clients and staff in support of the agencys vision.


Tasks:

Grounds Maintenance:

  1. Helps with the forest maintenance i.e. clearing redistributing piling chopping and chipping up fallen debris to create and maintain pathways.
  2. Helps with thinning out trees and tree replanting.
  3. Helps with cutting back thatch to maintain forest perimeter and prevent encroachment on recreational fields.
  4. Assists with plant pruning and flowerbed maintenance (ie. edging mulching weeding fertilizing planting).
  5. Assists with volunteer groups supporting outdoor projects.

Maintenance/Housekeeping:

  1. Helps facilities team with projects (i.e. painting building moving) as needed and general maintenance duties.
  2. Helps housekeeping team with general cleaning within the building as needed.

Your Talents and Experience:

Ability to prioritize tasks meet deadlines problem solve and work independently and as part of a multi service delivery team. Possess an ability to relate well with people. Ability to communicate with people and be open to direction. A passion for excellence in customer service. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
