The Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board (KPR) offers a world-class education for approximately 35000 students in 87 schools. Summer School - START Program positions are available from July 2 to July 29 2025. Teachers must hold qualifications appropriate to the position applied for. Students will be working towards a credit called Discovering the Workplace Grade 10 Open (GLD2O). Throughout the course students will further develop their literacy numeracy and self-advocacy skills to help prepare them for success in high school. They will also have the opportunity to experience technology courses specifically culinary and construction.

Qualifications Required
- In Good Standing with the Ontario College of Teachers or;Good Standing with Terms Conditions or Limitations (Transitional Certificate).
- A police record check with a Vulnerable Sector Search and Pardoned Sexual Offenders Database Search dated within 6 months prior to the date of hire is a requirement for employment.
- Intermediate and Senior Construction (or) Intermediate and Senior Hospitality Services
