Job Description

Job Title: Campus Receptionist Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Principal

Dept. /School: Assigned Campus Date Revised: 05/19/2025

Primary Purpose:

Under direct supervision provide reception and clerical assistance for the efficient operation of the campus office.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Effective organization communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow written instructions
  • Ability to operate multi-line phone system

Experience:

One-year clerical experience in office setting preferred

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Reception and Phones:

  1. Assist students teachers and parents as needed.
  2. Receive and direct incoming calls take reliable messages and route to appropriate staff.
  3. Greet and direct campus visitors.
  4. Assist parents in checking students in and out of school.
  5. Receive sort and distribute mail messages documents and other deliveries.
  6. Assist with the receipt and distribution of student materials including homework requests.
  7. Maintain visitor log; scan in visitors; issue visitor badge.
  8. Assist parents or guardians with new student online enrollment.

Records/Reports/Technology:

  1. Update tardy reports and assign lunch DC.
  2. Maintain school calendar of events.
  3. Basic understanding of Excel and Google Docs.

Other:

  1. Attend various training as needed
  2. Assist with preparation of materials for mailing including preparing labels stuffing envelopes etc.
  3. Maintain computerized files using personal computer including reports employee roster and mailing lists.
  4. Monitor copy machines (load paper toner staples reload teacher pass codes monthly order paper)
  5. Provide clerical assistance as needed.
  6. Guide and direct student aides.
  7. Help print student rosters.
  8. Receive store and issue supplies
  9. Maintain confidentiality.

Equipment Used:

Personal computer and peripherals multi-line phone system copier fax machine calculator scanners.

Maintain emotional control under stress

Work with frequent interruptions

Continuous sitting; involves frequent walking

Must be able to multitask and work at a fast pace
