Job Description

Your role at St John of God Accord

We are looking for a dedicated Occupational Therapist (Grade 1-2) to join our community disability team on a permanent full-time basis.

This role presents an exceptional opportunity to deliver high-quality person-centred care within a values focused family-friendly not-for-profit organisation with offices in Greensborough and Scoresby and access to any Waterman Office Suite across Victoria.

The Position

  • Delivering direct evidence-based occupational therapy services to individuals or groups primarily in community settings for NDIS participants.

  • Conducting thorough assessments encompassing personal care domestic and community Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) home environments and physical capacity.

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive treatment plans ensuring appropriate progression towards functional goals.

  • Coordinating the provision of specialised aids and equipment to optimise patient outcomes.

  • Providing consultation and support as part of a multidisciplinary allied health team.

  • Ensuring all practice adheres to the relevant registration body (AHPRA) Code of Ethics and St John of God Health Care policies and guidelines.

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Occupational Therapist who holds a tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound knowledge and skills in occupational therapy assessment treatment and evaluation.

Strong verbal and written communication abilities are essential along with the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.

Successful applicants must hold a NDIS Screening Number Victoria Drivers License and current First Aid certificate.

We can offer you

  • Salary: $70866 to $.5% Superannuation

  • Permanent full-time working 38 hours per week

  • Part-time considered (minimum 0.6 FTE)
