Principal - Tree Management

Permanent Full Time (Flexible including part time school hours job share etc.)

Two positions available

Band 7 - starting from $105898 super RDO (RDO applicable for full time 38 hours per week only)

About the role

The City of Yarra City Works branch has an exciting opportunity for two qualified arborists to join the team in the role of Principal - Tree Management. Based at Yarras Clifton Hill depot the roles will demonstrate leadership in all facets of tree management. Responsible for managing contracts conducting field inspections assessing risks monitoring tree health and tree planting no two days in the role are ever the same. The role is best suited to someone who is passionate about shaping Yarras urban forest thrives working at speed and takes great pride in their work.

Key skills and qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Arboriculture Diploma or high level National accreditation - AQF level 5
  • Strong understanding of tree management in a public realm context
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
