Senior Manager Talent and amp; Culture
Scale the People Engine of Tomorrows Ed-Tech Innovator
Location: Markham ON (Hybrid 2 days/week in-office)

Your Mission

What Youll Own and amp; Lead:

  • OKR and amp; Performance Mastery: Embed a company-wide OKR framework ensuring every team aligns seamlessly to measurable outcomes. Youre not just tracking goals youre unlocking performance.
  • Culture Creator: Design and deploy cutting-edge engagement and incentive programs that ignite innovation collaboration and accountability. Youll make us a magnet for high-calibre ambitious professionals.
  • Trusted Advisor: Serve as the go-to strategic HR partner for the CEO and executive leadership team providing insightful counsel on organizational structure talent risks and culture evolution.

You Are:

  • A Proven Scale-Builder: Youve been pivotal in scaling organizations past 200 people and beyond $50M revenue. You thrive in agile growth-driven environments - SaaS ed-tech fintech or consulting ideally.
  • Strategic and amp; Autonomous: You dont wait to be told what to do you spot opportunities grab them and deliver excellence. Youre as comfortable setting strategic vision as you are rolling up your sleeves to get things done.
  • Culture and amp; Talent Savvy: Youve successfully designed and implemented company-wide OKR programs impactful culture initiatives and senior-level hiring strategies that raise the bar.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Leadership
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO on sensitive personnel matters organizational restructuring and executive leadership transitions.
  • Collaborate closely with the CBFO to integrate HR operations seamlessly with OKR-driven performance management frameworks.
Building a High-Growth Culture
  • Lead innovative high-impact HR initiatives designed to nurture an environment of accountability high performance and continuous growth.
  • Champion AI-driven skill development initiatives across the organization creating teams equipped for future challenges.
  • Drive initiatives that encourage and reward collaborative innovation and measurable team impact.
Talent Acquisition and amp; Exceptional Onboarding
  • Take ownership of the full-cycle recruitment process emphasizing proactive sourcing strategies for mission-critical roles.
  • Elevate the onboarding journey ensuring exceptional experiences for all new hires including executive and senior-level appointments.
  • Strategically support recruitment needs for major projects such as launching new educational offerings and expanding international teams.
Performance and amp; OKR Mastery
  • Partner with the executive leadership team to translate organizational OKRs into actionable structured review and tracking processes.
  • Design deploy and oversee comprehensive performance review cycles and align incentives to drive targeted outcomes.
  • Regularly monitor and assess performance data proactively recommending strategic improvements.
HR Operations and amp; Infrastructure Excellence
  • Maintain and enhance essential HR functions including employee relations contract management benefits administration leave policies and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee internal communications policy documentation employee handbooks and materials reinforcing company culture.
  • Continuously refine existing HR processes and systems leveraging AI-driven tools for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure rigorous compliance across international engagements contractors and cross-border staffing arrangements.

If You Have:

  • CHRL designation a university degree and a strong grasp of Ontario employment law
  • 3 years in senior HR leadership roles ideally as the lead HR practitioner
  • Deep expertise with ADP (or similar) and HRIS platforms
  • Experience deploying company-wide OKRs leading senior hiring processes and managing complex employee relations scenarios
  • High comfort level being both strategic visionary and solo practitioner
