Job Description
Job Summary:
The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for managing and overseeing all production activities during the assigned shift. This includes ensuring production targets are met maintaining high standards of quality and safety and managing a team of operators and technicians. The ideal candidate should have experience in rubber processing molding or tyre manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Management
Supervise and coordinate daily production activities.
Ensure production efficiency quality and ontime target completion.
Monitor machine performance and optimize processes.
2. Team Leadership & Supervision
Lead a team of production operators and technicians.
Assign tasks and manage workflow.
Conduct shift briefings and ensure effective handovers.
Mentor and train team members on best practices.
3. Quality Assurance
Enforce adherence to quality standards and specifications.
Perform quality checks and inspections regularly.
Address and report quality issues immediately.
4. Health & Safety Compliance
Promote and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Conduct safety briefings and enforce use of PPE.
Report and investigate safety incidents.
5. Equipment & Maintenance
Monitor equipment for performance and report faults.
Ensure compliance with preventive maintenance schedules.
6. Reporting & Documentation
Maintain detailed shift reports production logs and downtime records.
Provide feedback to management regarding shift performance and issues.
Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma or Bachelors in Mechanical Production Industrial Engineering or related field.
Minimum 3 years experience as a supervisor in crumb rubber molding or tyre manufacturing.
Handson knowledge of production equipment and processes in rubber or tyre manufacturing.
Strong leadership communication and problemsolving skills.
Proficient with production management tools/software.
Familiarity with quality control and safety standards.
Willing to work rotational shifts including nights and weekends.
Work Environment:
Exposure to heat and industrial noise.
Physically demanding role requiring long periods of standing.
Handling of heavy machinery in a manufacturing setting.

Salary: OMR 200 270 depending on experience.
