Job Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and selfmotivated PHP Developer with a strong command of backend technologies database design and API integration. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a nightshift environment is passionate about writing clean efficient code and is capable of delivering highquality solutions under minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design develop and maintain robust web applications using PHP (preferably Laravel CodeIgniter or Symfony frameworks).
- Write clean scalable and welldocumented code following industry best practices.
- Integrate thirdparty services APIs and RESTful endpoints.
- Build and optimize relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) including query performance tuning.
- Collaborate with frontend developers and UI/UX designers to implement responsive usercentric features.
- Conduct code reviews troubleshoot bugs and perform unit and integration testing.
- Work independently and take full ownership of assigned modules and deadlines.
- Maintain clear documentation and update technical specifications as required.
- Coordinate with QA teams during nightly build deployments and ensure system stability.
- Stay updated with emerging trends in web development and propose relevant improvements.
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field.
- 2 5 years of proven experience in PHP development especially during night shifts or freelance/remote assignments.
- Strong understanding of OOP principles and MVC architecture.
- Handson experience with PHP frameworks (Laravel CodeIgniter or others).
- Good knowledge of JavaScript jQuery AJAX HTML5 CSS3.
- Proficiency in writing MySQL queries stored procedures and database schema design.
- Experience with version control systems (Git/GitHub/Bitbucket).
- Familiarity with serverside scripting and deployment processes (Apache/Nginx cPanel/SSH).
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
- Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress Magento).
- Knowledge of DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Exposure to Docker APIs WebSockets and cloud services (AWS Azure etc.).
Shift & Work Expectations:
- Must be comfortable working night shifts.
- Ability to manage deadlines independently and collaborate with teams across different time zones.
- Available for occasional calls or huddles during nonstandard hours as required.
