The AWS Startup team seeks a Tech Business Developer leader to drive strategic growth initiatives at the intersection of technology and venture capital. This position is a key part of the AWS Startup Investments team which develops and manages purposebuilt credit and cash programs to accelerate startup growth at critical stages. Our team optimizes credit offers channels eligibility criteria and annual budgets while working closely with startup marketing business development and sales teams to enhance customer acquisition and retention.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in business development finance and marketing complemented by technical knowledge in analytics big data machine learning and generative AI. Direct startup experience and proven success in VC or preVC funding environments are essential qualifications for this role. The candidate must demonstrate a track record of launching successful metricsdriven initiatives that advance customer engagement sales effectiveness and business development.
This position requires exceptional crossorganizational leadership skills with proven ability to unite diverse teams around common objectives. The successful candidate will build strategic partnerships influence key stakeholders and drive measurable outcomes across the AWS startup ecosystem. By leveraging our broader network and combining unique expertise youll help scale the Investments teams impact and contributions to drive AWSs startup strategy forward.
Key job responsibilities
This is an individual contributor role however you will serve as the Global Investments Manager for startupfocused initiatives at AWS that require crossteam influence. Your role will include but is not limited to:
Developing and executing strategies to identify and support highpotential startups at the geo and global level
Analyze customer churn trends and implement strategic programs to improve retention rates
Create mechanisms to constantly understand Voice of Customer through surveys as well as internal feedback from startupfacing team members
Write MBR documents and leading reviews to summarize to stakeholders the progress
Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing credit offerings to identify market gaps and untapped opportunities to enhance offerings and improve processes
Analyze credit issuance and usage patterns forecast future needs and optimize programs by coordinating crossfunctionally with Startup Business Development Sales GTM & Strategy Product/Engineering Program Management Office (PMO) Marketing and Finance

3 years of business development partnership management or sourcing new business experience
Bachelors degree or equivalent
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience in online advertising or hightech products/services
