Job Description

This opportunity is part of the Global Technology Infrastructure & Operations team (GTIO) where our mission is to deliver modern and relevant technology that supports the way McDonalds works. We provide bestinclass foundational technology products and services including Global Networking Cloud End User Computing and IT Service Management. Its our goal to always provide an engaging relevant and simple experience for our customers. 

We are seeking a Director of Technology Deployment to lead and oversee the execution of our Edge technology rollout within the IOM Segment and Markets. As a part of our modernization efforts we are installing Edge servers managed by Google Cloud for faster low latency analytics and enhancements to our customer facing platforms. This critical program requires strong leadership to oversee the execution of our Edge technology roll out.

This leader must be able to foster a collaborative working relationship with crossfunctional and business stakeholders across the globe. Demonstrated success in deploying a workstream as part of a complex global program with intimate knowledge of global deployment fundamentals and the impact technology has on our employees and our customers. 

Responsibilities & Accountabilities: 

  • Accountable for the successful deployment and implementation of Edge technology in all restaurant locations across the IOM Segment including a comprehensive global rollout plan while coordinating market participation and rollout. 
  • Coordinate and communicate with McDonalds crossfunctional teams including segments markets restaurant operations and vendors to ensure alignment on deployment objectives and milestones. 
  • Collaborate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to uphold deployment schedules and ensure stability and quality of deployments within the markets. 
  • Provide expertise across deployment wave planning and coordination technical expertise risk management quality assurance and stakeholder communication. 
  • Partner with our third parties and our PMO in ensuring best practices are leveraged. 
  • History of leading workstreams of largescale projects and crossfunctional initiatives to success on time and within budget. 

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with the McDonalds business model including intimate knowledge of our markets market priorities and key leaders. 
  • Capability to identify gaps in technological capabilities and submit requirements to meet identified gaps. 
  • Able to prepare and present accurate and timely information to senior leadership regarding program progress and maturity up to and including the McDonalds Global Technology Leadership Team. 
  • Proven communication skills including written deliverables oral presentations and the ability to facilitate crucial conversations at Sr. Director and VP levels of the organization. 
  • Ability to manage and mitigate risks with a focus on security and compliance. 
  • Experience diagnosing isolating and resolving complex technology and implementation issues and recommending strategies to resolve problems.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree or commensurate experience in technology transformation systems administration digital technology engineering computer science or other related fields.
  • Significant years of experience in technology with a focus on engineering data cloud and digital solutions in a large multinational organization. 
  • Experience influencing inspiring and leading highperforming diverse teams (>25) of employee and external supplier teams across multiple geographies. 
  • Strong background in technology deployment. 
  • History of excellent vendor management skills including contract negotiation and performance oversight.
