As the Senior Advisor Enterprise Risk you will collaborate with management to support and assist with the overall implementation of the Rest risk management framework and associated policies including the coordination and presentation of risk management coaching training and advice to ensure there is appropriate risk management expertise culture and capability across the business.

You will support continuous improvement projects and initiatives including preparing reports and documenting the development of new processes policies systems and key enterprise risk management artefacts including the Risk appetite statement Enterprise Risk Profile and Strategic risk scenarios. You will also collaborate with more senior team members to evaluate issues develop risk mitigation strategies resolve complex issues and embed risk awareness initiatives in a time of transformation

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities 

  • Contribute to the maintenance monitoring and review of a consistent and aligned Enterprise Risk Management Framework and associated policies procedures and practices
  • Undertake enterprise risk oversight and assurance reviews
  • Support and promote the risk culture and awareness of risk management practices across REST business
  • Contribute to the implementation and embedding of CPS230 and associated business resilience practices

Qualifications :

  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting law economics business engineering or equivalent
  • strategic risk modelling and/or scenario analysis

Required experience understanding or credentials including:

  • Membership of a professional body such as the Risk Management Institute of Australia or the GRC Institute (preferred)
  • At least 34 years experience in risk management
  • Knowledge of financial services regulations and legislation
  • Demonstrated commercial approach to risk management
  • Sound understanding of best practice risk frameworks methodologies toolkits techniques policies and procedures
  • Experience facilitating risk assessment workshops including risk quantification.
  • Experience developing riskrelated training materials preparing reports for Board and Executive Committees
  • Well developed written and verbal communication with proven ability to deliver written deliverables including reports (including Board reports) presentations training materials and policies
  • Strong communication skills capable of simplifying complex information for diverse audiences
  • Welldeveloped and demonstrated interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to selfmanage time plan work and deliver outcomes as part of a team
  • Experience in process improvement analytical and critical thinking capabilities ability to interpret a range of data identify pattens and trends ability to find gaps and come up with solutions
  • Exposure to change management practices and methodologies.
