Job Description
The System Administrator is responsible for the configuration maintenance and
reliable operation of computer systems servers and network infrastructure. This role
ensures that systems are running efficiently securely and are regularly updated. The
administrator will also provide technical support to users manage backups and
monitor system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Install configure and maintain operating systems software and hardware.
Manage network servers technology tools and onpremise/cloudbased
infrastructure.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Ensure security through access controls backups and firewalls.
Create and manage user accounts and permissions.
Apply OS patches and upgrades regularly; upgrade administrative tools and
utilities.
Maintain documentation of systems configurations and procedures.
Support disaster recovery planning and testing.
Collaborate with Admin Team / Managers on projects and problem resolution.
Requirements and Skills:
Proven experience as a System Administrator Network Administrator or similar
role.
Strong knowledge of systems and networking software hardware and
networking protocols.
Familiarity with backup and recovery tools and best practices.
Working knowledge of security and system monitoring tools.
Excellent problemsolving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Add on: Certifications such as CompTIA Server Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or Cisco CCNA preferred.
Additional Information :
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure).
Familiarity with Active Directory Office 365 and Exchange.
Knowledge of ITIL will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
