QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Mississippi teaching certificate
- A minimum of five years prior job experience in teaching counseling and/or administration
- Prior job experience in coaching preferred
- Such alternative to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

REPORTS TO: Director of Athletics
JOB GOALS: To assist the Director of Athletics with the following duties as assigned:
- Meets all professional conduct standards as set byMS Educator Code of EthicsStandards of Conduct
- Organizes and administers the overall program of extracurricular athletics both intramural and interscholastic for the district.
- Provides leadership in the selection assignment and evaluation of athletic coaches and staff members.
- Fosters good schoolcommunity relations by keeping the community aware of and responsive to the athletic events.
- Assumes responsibility for the organization and schedule all interscholastic athletic events.
- Hires officials team physicians and policeman as required and assumes general responsibility for the proper supervision of home games.
- Arranges transportation for athletic contest participants.
- Arranges provision for meals for athletes and coaches when opponent is 60 miles or more from a district boundary line.
- Develops and places into operation appropriate rules and regulations governing the conduct of athletic activities.
- Verifies each athletes eligibility according to established physical and academic requirements of eligibility for participation in each sport.
- Prepares and administers the athletic program budget.
- Requisitions program supplies and equipment.
- Supervises all ticket sales and fundraising events of the athletic program and assumes responsibility for proper handling of funds.
- Arranges all details of visiting teams needs including lodging meals towels gymnasium services and field assistance as appropriate.
- Decides for school use of playing fields and facilities.
- Arranges field and gym practices schedules.
- Provides for the physical examination of all athletes prior to the beginning of each season.
- Administer the insurance program covering school athletes and assumes responsibility for all processing of reports and claims.
- Keeps records of the results of all junior and senior high school athletic contests and maintains a record file of all award winners stating the date and type of award including athletic scholarships.
- Directs an inschool extracurricular program designed to foster support for athletic teams and school spirit among nonparticipants.
- Plans and supervises an annual recognition program for school athletes.
- Submits items for Board review and attends Board meetings when appropriate.
- Follows all board policies and procedures
- Maintains regular attendance and is punctual
- Promotes the districts vision mission and goals
- Performs any other duties as outlined by the Superintendent
