The Data Warehouse and Lakehouse are critical platforms for the firm and are used across all departments to create business insights and are used in daily engagements to provide execution excellence for the firms clients. The Data Engineer will be a key member of the Data Engineering team reporting to the Data Architect. They will work closely with all aspects of the Technology team as well as all our internal stakeholders to ensure our data platform is built in a robust consistent and sustainable fashion.

Core Responsibilities:

Data Engineering and Analysis for Firmwide Use

  • Work with Product Owners to identify analyze and gather requirements
  • Utilize the Azure data stack to enhance the Data Warehouse and Lakehouse
  • Collect and integrate data from various sources including SAAS application databases APIs and files
  • Perform data analysis and cleaning to remove errors duplicates and inconsistencies
  • Develop test cases to ensure accuracy quality and consistency of data for analytical workloads
  • Engineer integration solutions to connect diverse SAAS applications and data systems
  • Deploy and manage objects through existing change management processes
  • Independently manage own backlog of work and priorities

Job Specific Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or equivalent field
  • 3 years of experience in data engineering technologies such as Azure Data Factory Python Synapse Analytics Databricks Azure Data Lake Store Spark SQL Fabric
  • 3 years of experience in NoSQL and Azure SQL DB or similar cloud database
  • Experience in ingesting csv and other text and nonstructured data sources
  • Preferred: Experience in short release cycles and the full software lifecycle
  • Preferred: Experience in statistical modeling or machine learning approaches and tools
