NORTHSHORE EDUCATION CONSORTIUMJOB DESCRIPTIONJOB TITLE: Transportation ManagerREPORTS TO: Facilities Director and Chief Financial OfficerPOSTING DATE: May 13 2025Anticipated Start Date: Jul 1 2025Position Overview:The Northshore Education Consortium is actively seeking a Transportation Manager for the startof the new fiscal year. This individual will manage a regional transportation contract on behalf ofour member districts. In addition they will be responsible for managing NECs approved driverprogram and NECs vehicle Responsibilities:Manage Regional Transportation Contract:1. Manage contract with transportation provider ensuring compliance andcosteffectiveness. This contract will be utilized by ten of our member school districtsused to transport OOD students.2. Serve as the primary point of contact for transportationrelated inquiries coordinatingwith school administrators staff parents and transportation NECs Fleet and Approved Driver Program:1. Special Event Coordination & Scheduling: Work with school principals to plan andcoordinate transportation for field trips athletic events and other special events. Assigndrivers and vehicles for vocational transportation.2. Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to state and federal transportationregulations safety protocols and NEC policies.3. Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee and record vehicle maintenance repairs andinspections including fleet management and budgeting.4. Staff Management: Supervise coordinate training and evaluate transportation staffincluding bus drivers and NEC approved drivers.5. Maintain Driver Records: Maintain driver records for NEC approved drivers as well as7D and CDL logs.6. Budget Management: Manage transportation budgets track expenditures and identifycostsaving opportunities.7.
